About Me

My photo
Maureen Demanuele
It's been ten years or so since I attended the Alberta College of Art and I'm pleased to say that I've worked consistently at my craft for all this time. It's been a pleasure. There is nothing as exciting to me as finishing a piece and realizing that it's not even close to the vision I had of it originally and knowing that what did happen was far better than anything I could have thought of. Art to me is a process of letting things happen. I'm confident that I have sufficient technical training. But what puts the "zing" into any piece is an element that has yet to be explained to me. Some call it divine inspiration. I'm not sure what it is. I only know when it's there and when it isn't.
